Words Through Poetry

The Words Through Poetry series follows in sequence from the I Can Read series; these materials are more advanced, using easily accessible poems to teach new Chinese words. Each level has a textbook that reads more like a story/poetry book, and a workbook with fun-filled activities and exercises for the young learner. In the textbooks, richly colored pictures and large characters make learning to read a pleasure. Books can be purchased separately; Level 1 is also available as a multimedia set, which contains a CD-ROM, a book, and an audio CD. Books are in Chinese only and the CD-ROM is in traditional characters with the option to hear Mandarin or Cantonese pronunciation.
