Cheng & Tsui's Readings in Korean Culture Series offers supplemental reading material that corresponds to different levels of Korean language proficiency.  Each edition of the Readings in Korean Culture Series offers fifteen to twenty essays that include background information, pre-reading questions, essays in Korean, core vocabulary lists, comprehension questions, vocabulary exercises, word lists, and composition questions.  With Cheng & Tsui's Readings in Korean Culture Series, learners will improve their linguistic proficiency, cultural understanding, and Korean narrative traditions and conventions.  

Hye-Sook Wang is an associate professor of East Asian Studies at Brown University, and the co-author of Integrated Korean: High Advanced (University of Hawaii Press, 2005) as well as editor of The Korean Language in America. She served as the president of the American Association of Teachers of Korean (AATK) from 2003 to 2006.
