by Eri Banno, Yutaka Ohno, Yoko Ikeda, Chikaki Shinagawa, Kyoko Tokashiki

Jump into learning Japanese with Genki, the most popular college Japanese textbook in the United States!* This comprehensive textbook series gives beginning college and adult learners a solid grounding in all four language skill areas. Easy-to-follow grammar explanations help students learn independently, and illustrated exercises and group activities enliven classroom instruction.

Dialogues revolve around the lives of foreign students living in Japan, presenting relatable scenes that students are likely to face in their daily lives. Culture Notes in each lesson provide intriguing insights into Japanese culture and everyday life, covering topics such as kinship terms, public transportation, and more.
