Sales Account Representative

Cheng & Tsui, a leading publisher in Asian language and culture textbooks and supplements, is seeking individuals with educational sales experience for the position of inside Sales Representative. Working with the Director of Sales & Marketing, the inside sales rep will develop and execute strategic sales plans by contacting K-12 School and Higher Education language teachers, professors, and administrators within their assigned territory to promote and sell our textbooks, supplements, and digital products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a sales territory to increase annual baseline sales within the assigned territory
  • Maintain customer records, input, update and track all leads in our Customer Relationship Management  (CRM) database
  • Build an active pipeline of prospective customers and new accounts
  • Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, and availability
  • Convey product features based on analyses of customers’ needs and on knowledge of product features 
  • Recommend the correct products or assist customers in making product selections based on their needs and product specifications 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange customer feedback, market information, and sales and marketing strategies 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience in inside sales, customer service, publishing, and/or Asian language teaching preferred
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers
  • Self-sufficient and committed to meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • Superior verbal, written, and phone-based communication skills
  • Knowledge of Asian language and culture preferred
