Digital Marketing Manager

Cheng & Tsui is seeking an energetic and results-driven Digital Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate has a background in educational publishing and will drive growth, build awareness by effectively conceptualizing and executing goal-oriented strategic plans. The Manager is responsible for the development and execution of multi-channel marketing programs from conception to completion. The Digital Marketing Manager will acquire expert product knowledge and customer insights and work closely with the Product Development Team in order to write response-driven copy, engaging product descriptions, and compelling messaging and/or to provide hands-on guidance to do the same.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, develop, and execute annual and multi-year integrated marketing strategies, plans, and schedules, including product promotions, prospecting campaigns, lead generation, product positioning, conference attendance, and public relations.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Effective lead generation through traditional and electronic channels.
  • Ability to track marketing, create and analyze campaigns using a CRM system.
  • Hire, manage, train, and motivate in-house and freelance personnel as needed to execute effectively the marketing plans.
  • Coach staff and be attentive to their continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to produce catalogs, brochures, flyers, sales presentations, press releases, letters, and ads.
  • Conceptualize, write, and deliver engaging copy and messaging for print and digital media.
  • Support Online Marketing by providing copy and oversight for the web, emails, and other online initiatives.
  • Manage SEO, ad word, and social media strategy together with the company web site.
  • Manage catalog production including scheduling, product placement, pagination, layout, and proofing. Oversee data processing and mailing.
  • Work with manufacturing to obtain multiple quotes to secure cost effective solutions.
  • Schedule and traffic projects and oversee conference selection and management. Develop creative briefs, set milestones, and enforce deadlines. Implement systematic workflow processes.
  • Communicate marketing plans and product information to sales and marketing teams.
  • Lead and train marketing group in the timely execution of marketing plans through multiple channels.
  • Organize and leverage customer feedback.
  • Plan and conduct virtual marketing events.
  • Identify growth opportunities and trends in the education markets. Recommend new products and product enhancements to meet the needs of educators.
  • Track performance of marketing campaigns. Analyze and report on the results and test new ways to improve performance.
  • Support and nurture relations with foreign language associations and organizations.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • 7+ years of marketing and copywriting experience, preferably in K-12 or higher education
  • Experience in strategic planning and executing multi-channel marketing programs with emphasis on the digital aspects
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to wear multiple hats, be flexible, and work collaboratively within a changeable and demanding environment
  • Superb hands-on marketing copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience in managing staff and teaching effective copywriting, planning, scheduling
  • Experience working with web content managements systems and social media tools
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, CSS and HTML; experience creating and giving effective PowerPoint presentations, and general love for technology
  • Teaching experience and strong interest in Asian languages and cultures a plus
