  • Flying with Chinese

Why do the K-2 level textbooks not have pinyin?

  • Flying with Chinese

There is no pinyin or Romanization in the storyline of grades K-2, as to not interrupt primary language acquisition (English) at this early age. Pinyin is introduced with book 3A and in the vocabulary index of every book, including K-2. The Flying with Chinese vocabulary flashcards also have some pinyin.
