We received a record number of submissions this year and were truly impressed with all the hard work that went into each and every video. After long deliberation, the judges have selected the finalists.

One solo finalist didn't post her lyrics at all. Where is the rule?
LOL ... Some finalists were obviously chosen based on their group effort and acting instead of their merit in singing or pronunciation. Honestly, adding two award categories for greatest group effort and best acting is necessary so the contest won't seem to be so off the focus.
Apparently, it's mostly about video editing.
One of your rules stated, "Judging will be based on presentational creativity, musical talent, Chinese pronunciation, and overall star power".
These four standards are your only rubric for grading. All four standards are equally important. Did you stick to your rubric?
You could've stated clearly in your rules that this competition is rigged and not waste some school's time. They were obviously better.
g. Eligible songs are limited to those that are available as a karaoke track (i.e. music without original vocals) only, under public domain, or original songs
There are videos that should be eliminated immediately in this case, which among the finalists.
If you can't stick to your rules, all I can say is this contest is a hoax.
Dear Judges,
I am sure that every contestant deserves "Notes from the Judges", however, only the finalists' notes are shown. Please show all the notes that you made for every contestant, so all the contestants who are not among the finalists will also have the chance to know what their strengths and weaknesses are. Thank you.
