The vocabulary and grammar in the plays are appropriate for students at the intermediate level of study. The video recordings on two DVDs are accompanied by transcripts, exercises, language notes, and cultural information in the Short Chinese TV Plays textbook, making this an engaging course that combines language learning with insight into Chinese culture. Transcripts are in simplified and traditional characters with pinyin. The DVDs and textbook are sold separately.
