Ni Hao, Volume 2 Teacher's Handbook

The Ni Hao, Volume 2 Teacher’s Handbook (applicable to both 2nd and 3rd edition textbooks) provides the teacher with additional information for the textbook, supplies questions and answers for the student workbook, and suggests many activities—particularly games—that involve frequent use of Chinese.

The general information section provides explanations lesson by lesson and includes notes on the textbook and the workbook. It provides the materials for the listening exercises in the workbook and answers to the workbook questions. A variety of learning activities are suggested. Games give students the opportunity to use the language in a relaxed situation, thus overcoming the inhibitions of some students.

Some of the activities require specially designed worksheets, which are included in the blackline masters section. The teacher can photocopy these worksheets for class use. Some activities require small game cards or flashcards; these can also be produced using the “Phrases & Pictures” and the “Characters” in the second part of the blackline masters section.
