Flying with Chinese, Grade 2A Student Book

The Flying with Chinese student book offers age-appropriate fun with age-appropriate Chinese language learning strategies.

Textbook lessons are centered around brightly illustrated stories that are specially written to appeal to young readers. Each story introduces engaging characters depicted in universal contexts, and they become more complex as the lessons progress.

Two new hanzi are introduced in each lesson for a total of 60 characters each year in grades 2–3. An “I Can Do These Things” section at the end of each lesson outlines learning objectives and a checklist to give students a sense of accomplishment and progress.

Note: Pinyin is not used in these early books, as many students are still learning their basic ABCs at this stage in development.
