This compendium of Buddhist terms gives the Chinese equivalents for thousands of Buddhist terms, from titles of sutras to names of monasteries, along with philosophical concepts and prominent figures in Buddhist teaching. Many of the words are translated directly into conventional transliterated Sanskrit terms. Organized alphabetically by pinyin (without showing the pinyin in the main body), this text also includes traditional-simplified and simplified-traditional indexes, along with a pinyin-Wade-Giles conversion table.
