Chinese Storytellers takes us to the teahouses and hidden corners of Yangzhou to explore the ancient art of Chinese storytelling (shuoshu). Interviews with contemporary masters allow readers a rare glimpse into the personal and professional lives of storytellers today. This one-of-a-kind book also includes a VCD (which can be played using a CD-ROM drive or DVD player) of the storytellers performing their art in Yangzhou dialect. A separate video cassette is also available. This bilingual book includes traditional Chinese characters, pinyin, and English.
