Across the Straits, Textbook (Simplified)

The Across the Straits student book contains 22 miniscripts to help improve the listening skills of intermediate and advanced students.

Each of the 22 lessons within the book corresponds to the listening material found in the audio download and contains a pre-listening, listening, and post-listening section. The pre-listening section contains word association and discussion questions to consider during the conversation. The listening section includes vocabulary lists, notes on sentence patterns, and comprehension and multiple-choice questions. The post-listening activity section contains fill-in-the-blank questions and follow-up questions that can be used to foster classroom discussion.

Across the Straits can be used by itself or in conjunction with any intermediate Chinese textbook. In simplified characters with pinyin.
