Orascom Telecom has commercially launched an Arabic-English bilingual Internet search engine, after a year of running the service as a beta product. Onkosh.com focuses on Arab-related content such as culture, news, blogs, and entertainment. Users can search for Arabic words using English, through the patented "Bel3araby" transliteration feature. Onkosh.com is available in a mobile version (onkosh.mobi), and it features both a family filter and a "File Search" function, allowing users to find files that link directly to forums and music sites.
