The Chinese Odyssey multimedia CD-ROMs bring together an effective learning environment of images, video, audio, text, and exercises, enabling students to practice language skills in a dynamic way. CD-ROMs contain all the grammar, vocabulary, lessons, and exercises in their respective levels, and can be used as a stand-alone course for those who prefer multimedia-based learning, or in conjunction with the textbook and workbook for those who prefer to work with some printed materials. The software includes both traditional and simplified characters. Available for Windows only.
This demo version contains Chapter 5 from Volume 1 of Chinese Odyssey.
Technical requirements: Windows 2000 or higher, 500 MHz Pentium III 500 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM, 500 MB free hard disk space, 8x CD-ROM drive, a sound card with speakers or headphones, and a microphone for recording; the freely downloadable programs DirectX® 8.0, Windows Media® Player 9 or higher, and Macromedia® Flash™ Player. 1.5 GB required to run all components of full program from hard drive (recommended for greater speed and ease of use).
