Before you record, you must ensure that your microphone is setup properly:
- Make sure your microphone is connected properly (check your computer's documentation for instructions).
- Double click the Volume icon in your taskbar to open the Play Control panel. (If you have no volume icon, select Control Panel from the Start menu, and double-click Sounds and Audio Devices. Then click the Advanced Options button.)
- If you do rot see a column called Microphone, select Options->Properties from the menu. Scroll down In the box provided and check the
Idcrophone icon. Click OK and now make sure the Mute option in the Microphone column is unchecked. - You may also need to adjust the bar in the column to your desired volume.
