A basic pinyin method editor is provided with the Chinese Odyssey Multimedia CD-Rom. To access the editor:
- Right-click anywhere in the background of the main program window.
- Choose "Console" from the context menu. (A new toolbar will appear at the top of your screen.)
- Select K on the menu bar to open the keyboard.
- Choose Chinese Pin Yin-Sirnpified (if you want to type using simplifted characters) or Chinese Pin Yin-Traditional (if you want to type using traditional characters) from the Word Processor menu that appears.
- The keyboard should allow you to type Chinese characters or pinyin (select T for typing pinyin wrth tones).
Another option is to first type your responses using the KEY Chinese word processor program (or other pinyin editor of your choosing) and then copy and paste the text into Chinese Odyssey with the clipboard format set as Unicode.
