New companion resources for Beyond the Basics, our advanced Chinese textbook, are now available on PeerSource.The first new resource is a set of videos posted by Professor Jianhua Bai, co-author of the text. Each of the 20 clips features native Chinese speakers discussing topics related to the lessons in the book. The videos are accompanied by instructional guides, transcripts, and listening comprehension questions, and should prove an invaluable resource to any course making use of Beyond the Basics. We have also posted an answer key in both traditional and simplified characters, available to registered teachers only.
Beyond the Basics, now in its second edition, is an advanced textbook suitable for experienced college students and adult learners.
